Assembly & Test
The Clarke Chapman tradition of excellence continues today, through the continued investment in state-of-the-art machinery installed in our Gateshead works. As well as manufacturing our own products, we have built an enviable reputation in build to-print and sub-contracting services with many clients in the renewable energy, steel, military, marine, nuclear power and waste handling sectors. While offering a bespoke manufacturing resource, we also provide upgrade and refurbishment services to clients’ existing equipment.
Sub-Contract Machining
The Clarke Chapman machine shop facility is used by a large number of local and national companies across the entire industry spectrum, from nuclear, oil & gas and defence to marine, power generation and electrical engineering. The machine shop is a modern building offering excellent height and lifting capacity. The range of machinery is extensive and many are CNC controlled. Subcontracting companies can also draw upon the many additional resources we offer within the group.
Skills and Resources
Clarke Chapman Manufacturing has the multidisciplinary workforce (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic) to provide all the skills and expertise required for structural assembly. When required, we can also call upon our sister companies within the Langley Holdings organisation to provide additional resources in design and contracting. Flexibility, resourcefulness and vast experience are just some of the reasons why we have proved to be a vital partner for many companies in a diverse range of industries.
Machining Services
Clarke Chapman has made a significant £1.2 million investment in our Gateshead headquarters, enhancing our machining capabilities with cutting-edge technology. This investment includes the addition of two new Horizontal Borers and the CNC retrofit and refurbishment of our existing XL specialist Floor Borer. Complementing these advancements is the implementation of new CAM Software designed to optimize our machining processes.
