Remembrance Day – 11th November 2024

On this Remembrance Day 2024, Clarke Chapman colleagues and neighbouring businesses on the Baltic Business Park came together to observe a two-minute silence at 11.00am. Paul Adams, QHSE Manager, Clarke Chapman, Gateshead conducted the proceedings supported by John Sample, who played the cornet. John, who plays for a community band, has volunteered his time at the Clarke Chapman Remembrance Day Service over the last few years (John has a personal connection with the Company – his father worked for Clarke Chapman in the 50’s and 60’s, as a chauffeur at the Victoria Works site).

Aidan Ellison, Electrical Apprentice (Clarke Chapman, Gateshead) laid a wreath on behalf of the Clarke Chapman workforce at the Clarke Chapman War Memorial (situated at the entrance to the Gateshead site). Wreaths were also laid by Rob Anthony, Country Manager for Kongsberg Maritime Ltd and a representative from Acrol (neighbouring business on the Gateshead site).

“At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them”.
