Clarke Chapman receive ISO 14001 accreditation

We hear about “the environment” almost every day. Whether it’s energy, waste, or climate change, everybody seems to be “going green”. Clarke Chapman has recently achieved ISO 14001 certification demonstrating its commitment to helping the environment.

Colin Pagett, Director, Clarke Chapman Facilities Management Ltd, explains the importance of looking after our environment and what ISO14001 means in terms of working as a business.

“Clarke Chapman has had effective environmental management systems in place for a number of years, however, gaining this recognised accreditation validates what we’re doing is correct by providing the framework to improve our systems, mitigate issues that could arise, and meet or exceed regulatory compliance”

What does the environment mean to Clarke Chapman?

“Everything we manufacture or do can affect the environment and this is particularly the case while we are at work; earning certification was truly a team effort that demonstrates employee commitment to environmental sustainability”.

About ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities and it can also help to grow while reducing the environmental impact. An ISO 14001 system provides the framework to allow a business to meet increasingly high customer expectations of corporate responsibility as well as legal or regulatory requirements.
